aviddhakarṇas tattvaṭīkāyām āha – nanu vā pramāṇena kim iti paraḥ pratipādyate, ubhayasiddhaṃ hi pratipādakaṃ bhavatīti. tad etad ayuktam. yasmād vacanātmakam anumānam na ca vaktuḥ pramāṇam, atha ca vaktā tena paraṃ pratipādayati, parapratipādanārthatvāt prayāsasya, nāvaśyam ubhayasiddhena prayojanam – iti.
